I got the cross stitched last Sunday and started on the background. As you can see the colors are nicely bright. Using shiny , but not metallic, threads gave it a look similar to the glass crosses. Green and orange are Flair. Black and yellow are Neon Rays +. Red is Silk Lame, For the centers I used Needlepoint Cross Stitch and for the backgrounds I used Tent Stitch.
The background is a Blackwork Stitch.
While I work on other projects, becoming my car project.
My Sunday project for while at home is this birds canvas from Needlepoint for Fun, below. I am making it for my grand-niece.I started it awhile ago and have the background and leaves done. But I don’t like the trees. I’m cutting out what I have done and will switch to T Stitch. That will go fast and I should be able to start on the birds next week.
I want to finish it by mid-May so I can send it to her.
