One of my readers, Jane, sent me this wonderful blog post on Friday. It has a pattern to make this humorous cover for a face mask using plastic canvas. It certainly is better looking than the masks I’m using from the hardware store.
It doesn’t just have the pattern, it also includes the instructions to assemble these.

Not suitable for protecting against the virus, too many holes. Covering has to be tightly woven using
several layers and completely washable. I have researched this extensively and the recommendation
is using several layers of quilt fabric using the Duck Bill design.
I have made several for family members, one is a doctor.

I believe it is intended as a cover for a more tightly woven mask, not as a mask by itself.
Keep stitching,
Janet
