A new club from Vallerie Needlepoint Gallery (VNG) features four canvases with lovely ladies seen from the back. The designs are 4″ square and include stitch guides. There is a wonderful deco 2020 ornament. A very clever idea is their Home set. The O in home is replaced each month with a different 4″ round ornament. For example a ladybug on a four-leaf clover could be used for March. There are also new 6×9 clutch bags and two new tiny totes.
A new canvas from Tapestry Fair features art from Debbie Taylor Kerman. The cheerful Halloween canvas has lots of Jack o’Lanterns dressed up as different Halloween cretures. My pumpkins certainly never looked this good! Eye Candy has four new bird-theme rounds, each with a different word and a different color for the background. They also have two new geometrics on 13 mesh. A new canvas from Love You More features blooming cacti in pots in a lovely soft group of greens and blues with pink flowers.
Vallerie Needlepoint Gallery has new wood boxes for self-finishing. They have glass tops, like their coasters, and are available in eight different colors. The best thing about them is that they are rectangular (5×6) instead of square. It looks as if they have lots of canvases to fit in them. These include a great canvas of playng card suits, a golf cart, sayings, and a ladybug.
Devon Nicholson has a great new jazzy canvas with three instrument-toting hep kats that are suit-wearing cats. There is also a new Smokey Bear square. She is also now the licensee for Anne of Green Gables. The collection goes way beyond the three sizes of Anne portraits. The company’s ornament stack has been so popular that they have made them for other holidays with hearts, shamrocks, Easter eggs, and others. They also have an adorable set of four pieces of construction equipment that would be an adorable set for a boy.
A new artist for Purple Palm in Ryan Conners. He has darling cats and one dog dressed up for different months. My favorite of these is the French artist cat, complete with beret and striped shirt. They have also added to their line of baby animals in hats, including several different dogs.
New canvases from Colors of Praise include several large canvases on 13 mesh. There are 15 inch squares and 15×25 rectangles. The rectangles include a great complex design of two white monkeys, a lovely floral, and a kilim-style rug design (on 10 mesh). Because the colors for these canvases are similar they could be mixed and matched to make coordinated projects. There are 18 different canvases in many different styles.
