For so many of us, the burning of Notre Dame Cathedral on April 15 was a moving site. It’s so wonderful to hear hw so many of the treasures of this great cathedral have been saved. You might want to commemorate your love of Notre Dame in needlepoint.
Here are some options for you:
Sally Corey has many Paris canvases in her needlepoint collection. Her canvas of Notte Dame, seen at the top of the post, is just one. All are available in her Etsy shop.
Bucherie, a Paris needlepoint shop, has several canvases and kits of Notre Dame. These include some kits of the rose window a well as canvases of some of the gargoyles.
Alice Peterson has a lovely computer-printed canvas of Notre Dame where you can chose your own colors. BeStitched Needlepoint in Scottsdale has it available. Your LNS can also order it.
Shelly Trubbey has a lovely round canvas of Notre Dame (scroll down to see it).
Finally Abigail Cecile has a free line drawing you can print and transfer to canvas to create your own version of Notre Dame.
UPDATE: If you would like to donate directly to rebuilding the cathedral, consider Friends of Notre Dame, an organization set up to preserve the cathedral long before the fire.
