While this isn’t the biggest month for new products, There are some new ones out there. We’ve got them described here, just in time to add them to your wish list.
Canvases & Kits
Pippin Studios has announced they will be adding to their smalls line in January with bears, lighthouses, sand buckets, and more. They also have a great new line of9 pine trees, Fabulous Forest. The trees are 6.5 to 14″ inches tall. Each comes with a stitch guide.
Tango & Chocolate has a line of dog and cat breed/theme combinations by Steven Fowler in 12″ squares. & more has a new saying canvas that’s perfect for stitchers with “My soul is fed with needle & thread” on it. Heartstrings has a new 6″ tall Santas that have a choice of four greetings on them. Two more will be released in January.
Kirk & Bradley has a new Haunted House out with plenty of windows for adding spooky characters. Handblessings has an unusual 3-D design, puffs. They are counted canvas pieces that are formed into a shape like a puffy chocolate kiss. Christmas and Halloween are available now, with more coming soon.
Kangaroo Paw has added croakies (thick glasses holders) for fraternities and sororities to their line. They have them for 20 sororities and 21 fraternities. The ones I saw were finished with leather ends like a belt. They also have Stitch and Zip small purses. Currently these are available for 5 sororities, with more to come.
From Erin Nelson, a new artist for Purple Palm, there is a lovely realistic loggerghead turtle. The design is 8″ square. Shelley Trubbey has added a cowboy boots design to her mini skates series. Fatell Designs has canvases of a Pop Art Marilyn Monroe and a Pink Panther designs, available on 13 or 18 mesh. Quarter Stitch Designs has a NOLA square in Mardi Gras colors that includes a stitch guide.
Two companies have new products for young stitchers. DeElda has a great new line of geometrics for young stitchers. They are on 10 mesh and come as complete kits. Fleur de Paris is distributing kits from Little Moon Designs, The six animal designs are on 7-mesh canvas.
Everything Else
& more has added 108 new colors to their 100% mohair Fine Kid line. This significantly expands the line to a total of 131 colors. Lee has introduced magnetic needle cases. They have lift-out tray and are 6×4.5×2. There is space for a 3″ round canvas on top. Looking for an unusual finish? Norden Crafts has hollowed out old-fashioned alarm clocks that can be an unusual frame.
Waterfall Threads is a new thread organization system. The company is based in New Jersey and the organizers are made from acrylic. Yazzi has added a new larger bag to their line. It has four sleeves with 28 pockets plus an outside pocket for your keys.
Puffin has new mini needleminders out in seasonal themes. LACIS has a new set of tiny scissors. The blades are only 1/2″ long. The difference is that these scissors have pretty large fingerholes. They come in red, yellow, and green. Sullivan’s also has new scissors that come in a two-pack. One pair has straight blades, the other curved.
