With two wholesale markets before Easter, there are lots of new products coming out. Over the next few Mondays & Thursdays, I’ll be giving you information about these.
Please remember that I do not include either links or pictures in these posts. That is for a very simple reason, not all sites are updated with new products or available to the public and often the material I post is in advance of websites being updated. Rather than giving you the frustration of seeking and not finding, I do not post pictures or links.
Kirk & Bradley is making their Needlepoint To Go canvases available to a wider audience. Previously they were only available from Needlepoint.com. I have one in my stash and will be reviewing it soon. There are two fantastic Advent calenders coming out. Rebecca Wood has a charming nativity one. You’ll find lots of animals as well as the regular characters. Penny Linn has an Advent sleigh. The ornaments here trim the tree or are packages.
A really clever idea is a month-by-month canvas to go next to a baby’s monthly pictures. This adorable Penny Linn canvas is available in pink, blue, or primary colors. She also has different First Christmas canvases for babies, dogs, or grandparents. The designer also has several graduation ornaments. Skooters has new designer-inspired rounds, including ones inspired by Hermes and Louis Vuitton. There are also other new Hermes canvases, including an orange VW Bug with a Hermes shopping bag on top. Elm Tree Designs has three ornaments inspired by the Grinch cartoon.
Lots of designers are making needlepoint canvases of single iconic objects. Morgan Julia has added two new ones, a spicy Margarita and a bottle of Ranch Dressing. She also has a hard seltzer can and two new cookie sheets, one of slice & bake cookies, the other of chocolate chip cookies. Ziggy Stitches has another great one, a 3-D Cheez-its box. I love these because they can make unusual ornaments. I have glasses of rose, Lindt truffles, and peanut butter on my list to stitch.
Carol Curtis has a lovely snapdragons canvas available on 13 or 18 mesh. Cabell’s has a Pop Art canvas called “Warhol’s Lips.” Audrey Wu has a new series of passpot stamps. Needlepoint by Laura has another great series — TV shows with the logos inside old fashioned TV sets. Currently there are five passport stamps and six TV shows. Stitch Style has a lovely canvas of several storefronts in Old Twon Alexandria. They also have a lovely canvas of Mount Vernon. A new canvas from Bad Bitch is pixelated lips. It would be so fun stitched in Box Stitches.

Planet Earth is teaming up with Susan Sargent Designs and has lovely new squares with flowers or ferns in cool colors. Laura Love has a new canvas with many kinds of fall leaves. The added canvases include flowers, beer, and more.

The company also has a new brick cover completely filled with flowers. Needlepaint has added a new collection of threatened and endangered species 5″ rounds. According to the company, “Every purchase of a needlepoint ornament canvas from this collection will have a portion of the proceeds donated to wildlife foundations to ensure that these amazing animals are here for future generations.”
The Collection is now representing Kate Nelligan Designs. There is no word yet on what the canvases will be but Kate’s style includes many watery designs in clear colors.
