It’s summer and many of use find ourselves wearing hats (sunshine & being outdoors is good for you).
nedlepointing your own hat band is a fantastic way to customize even an inexpensive hat. If you make several hat bands, you can easily switch them to match different outfits. Horse Country Chic has a great blog post on these. You’ll learn how to design them, size them, and finish them easily.
Because the bands don’t get lots of wear, you can use a wider variety of threads than you would for a dog collar or belt. If you expect the hat will get wet, make sure the threads you use are colorfast.
