I just love how there is so much innovation in the needlepoint industry. Even at times when there isn’t lots going on, you’ll still find wonderful products that will make you jump up and say “I want that!” I know I’ve found several of those things in the products on this post.
Great Canvases
Voila has a new leather and needlepoint project that you just stitch and go. Caselette is a card case that has embossed leather and a rhinestone closure. There are several designs and colors available, including some to match their self-finishing bracelets. Voila also has a new shape of canvases in several designs — long rectangles for lumbar pillows.
JulieMar has a new series of beach-themed mini-socks and mittens. They also have a vibrant dahlia canvas that is part of a series of nine flowers by Julie Thompson. The company is now representing Judaic designs by Marcia Steonbock, adapted from her watercolors.
Kirk & Bradley has London and New York picture frames out to match their travel rounds. Liz Goodrick-Dillon has two lovely new canvases of animals in a winter forest. It is available as a day or night scene. Curtis Boehringer has added some lovely floral bouquets to his line of canvases. They are as fresh as a country wedding.
Kits & Charts
Just CrossStitch’s annual Halloween special issue is out now. If you like stitching from charts, you’ll love the 57 designs in this issue. Mill Hill has released their perforated paper collection of winter/Christmas ornaments. This year’s series includes six designs, including a lovely snowy owl.
Handblessings has a lovely new mostly Bargello flag that’d be an easy counted canvas project. It’s called “Together We Stand.”
Fabric, Thread & More
Scared of stitching with silk? Kreinik has a wonderful new starter set just for you. It has 14 2.5m skeins in coordinated colors.
if you are looking for an unusual base for your stitching, DMC has stitchable cork. The cork has pretty gold flecks and come packaged as a 10″ square sheet. They also have out a metallic mesh fabric that is soft and stitchable. It also comes in a 10″ square sheet.
The Daylight Company has a very interesting new floor lamp, DuoLamp has two lights instead of one, both shade and independently adjustible.
