Elizabeth Almond is a talented and prolific designer of Blackwork. her site, Blackwork Journey is full of great patterns. She has a small collection of ebooks, lots of printed patterns, and dozens of free downloads.
You’ll find eight pages of free projects. Some of these are smaller patterns others are samplers of various kinds, some quite large. Many of the designs are offered in different layouts or colors. The picture above is a section of one of the samplers.
If you are new to Blackwork but not to needlepoint, you’ll notice that the patterns are slightly different. in traditional Blackwork patterns, the straight stitches are on grid lines, instead of in the middle of the grid squares. To stitch Blackwork on needlepoint canvas, consider one grid square as two needleoint threads.
I love this site!

Hi Janet – I’m in love with the four ladies walking across the street a la the Beatles. Is a kit for sale? I would love to make it.
Thanks,
Melinda

It’s a painted canvas from Alice Peterson. You’d have to contact a shop (I’m not one) about getting the canvas and threads to stitch it.
Keep stitching,
Janet
