Mini-socks are very popular, but many of us avoid them because they can be expensive to finish. Even so, they are one of the more popular items for folks to finish themselves. I think that’s because they don’t require much more than basic sewing skills.
A new two-part video from the folks at Starkeart (distributed by The Collection) gives you step-by-step instruction. She shows every product she uses and tells you exactly the products she uses. You’ll see every bit of the process. Part One covers the assembly of the stocking. Part Two covers how to attach cording (something that has defeated me), making hanging loops and completing the mini-sock.
This method uses hand sewing, so you do not need a sewing machine to do this. Thiss method to finish mini-socks can also be used for mitten and bel ornaments and make full-size stockings.
