Hore Country Chic has a wonderful idea on their blog — make a wreath featuring your favorite needlepoint ornaments. These don’t need to be limited to Christmas but can. be made for any holiday or with any theme.
Their wreath featured mostly ornaments related to horses and racing. Yours can reflect your interests or your collection of needlepoint.
The blog post gives ideas on how to create these.
I have two in mind. One for my office, featuring Kathy Schenkel tags, below, and wooden spools of thread. I need to stitch more and then get them finished.
The other will use the many southwestern ornaments I have stitched over the years, below. These are already stitched and finished. I have plenty of other non-needlepoint ornaments to add to this. With the southwestern gallery wall just outside my office, I have a great place to put this. I think I’ll use a grapevine wreath for this one.
