Today I’ll cover even more great stuff from designers and distributors coming to shops in the next few months.
Superfine Stitches has new belt buckle canvases. The kits include canvas, thread, and instructions. The buckles are oval and have printed canvases in a variety of designs. Penny Linn has an adorable heraldic shield for NDLPT. The letters in Greek go down the center, like a fraternity, and on either side are “symbols” of stitching. I just love it. New from Maggie Co are a series of hygge ornaments with hot cocoa, mittens, a snowman, and a cottage, Also new are a colorful German Shepherd and Jack Rabbit
New from Painted Pony’s licensed artist, Suzanne Nicoll, are two lovely designs a deer and a moose. These realistic canvases are subtle Christmas designs because each is wearing holly. Two other canvases from this artist have lovely white and bay horses wearing Gerbera daisies. Zecca has a delightful canvas of five hens, each different, one standing on top of the other. In Painted Pony’s album covers series is a new one for Christmas tunes.
New from Sally Corey is a colorful geometric with curvy stripes of bold triangles filling the square. PLD’s licensed artist, Catherine Nolin, has a lovely design of an elegant hall interior. New from Blue Ridge is a series of London canvases including Harrod’s, Fortnum & Mason, Liberty, and even a corgi. Another new canvas from Plum Stitchery is a picture of a child’s mosaic of the solar system. It is lovely on a pale pink background. Two other small canvases from the company are a window with a candle and a vintage range in yellow with red accents. A large canvas from Plum looks like an extreme close up of cross stitch poppies printed of fabric, like those old embroidery kits.
Vallerie Needlepoint Gallery (VNG) has new snowglobe ornaments of a sand castle, a needlepoint shop, or a snow-covered cottage. For cities you’ll find globes for London, Paris, and New York. Danji has added new destination candy canes, Pip & Roo has a new canvas perfect for horse lovers. You’ll find a dappled grey behind a gate decorated with a wreath. A fox and a owl complete the trio of animals. Barbara’s Needlepoint has added a new star with ‘Mardi Gras” in colorful letters and a MardiGras mask. British designer Jolly Red has a new design of dachshunds on a striped background of bright pastels. The design can be finished as a pillow insert or a glasses case.
. There are lots of fun new canvases from Pippin In Nines there are dogs, each a different breed and straw hats. There is a new dozens as well with a dozen Christmas trees. My favorite new canvas has five wine glasses. Most of the new canvses are of single items. In small squares you’ll find a bowl with oranges, a dove, and a colorful rooster. My favorite is the rectangular big pot. I could easily see adding this to my kitchen decor. Other new rectangle include a tall version of Jerusalem and a seagull or a crab lounging on beach towels.
Alice & Blue as a delicate design of flowering olive branches. New from Mary Engelbreit in a 4″ high black & white bunny in jacket and Santa hat. Canvas and Thread has a two-sided key fob of a peace sign with a colorful background. The canvas comes with hardware to finish. CBK’s licensed art Kate Rheese has pillow coverd with fishing lures on a dark background. I love the new movie marquees from Needlepoint by Laura. You’ll find many favorite movies in the line.
Raymond Crawford is celebrating old-fashioned treats with a canvas of three snowcones, available in your choice of two colors for the background. He also has a 6″ tall hula girl that’s cute instead of tiki. In his new 5″ square designs, there is one of several lipsticks and other with seven red-capped mushrooms. His houndstooth design is also available in this size in three colorways. There is a stocking available of a gloved Santa’s had holding a hanburger. It’s available as a full-size stocking on 13 or 18 mesh or as a mini-sock on 18 mesh.
Tony Minieri’s scissors fobs, from Ka-Tzu Designs, have lovely beads. They are now available in shops. Beau Verre has lots of new needle minders, several of them more realistic. Big Buddies from The Meredith Collection have lots of new designs, including jeweled African animals (zebra, elephant, and hippo) as well as a charming enamel Christmas ornament. Beau Verre also has a new needle minder to gp with Diane Hermann’s Walking the Water’s Edge — it’s stunning. New Accoutrement Designs include a rhinestone French flag and a chateau.
