SilverStitch has a charming new bunny outline that has tiny hearts in Easter colors. Fire and Iris has two new 3-D designs, a graduation cap and a shell. Other new canvases from the company include two new designs, sunflower & canes and lupine patchwork, available in a variety of shapes. Emily Quigley, the designer of the French cheese boxes, has new canvases, including a seal pup, a pink Christmas tree, and a snowglobe with Christmas trees in several colors.
Alice Peterson has a new set of 12 Days rounds. Other new sets of rounds have balls for different sports wearing Santa hats, a set of characters from The Nutcracker, and a cute set of three dark gingerbread houses, one with a swirly icing roof. A lovely canvas designed for a tray insert has succulents as a border. I love that the open center allows for easy serving while still showing off great stitching. A new series of square canvases have seasonal Adirondack chairs. The company also has new hearts, sayings, and Judaic canvases.
New from Anne Fisher is three sleds with clothes hanging from them for the elves, Santa, and Mrs. Santa. They are available singly or as a group. Anne has a lovely woven ribbon design that is available in several colors and shapes. Blue Ridge Stitchery has licensed art from Katherine Miller Knuth. Five canvases of her delicate paintings of flowers and beaches are available. The company also has a new Blue Ridge belt, an Autumn Mountain scene, and a charming monarch butterfly feasting on a flower. Cabell Stitchery has a great Sesame Street sign.
Canvas & Threads licensed National Park posters have two new additions, canvases for Rocky Mountain and Smoky Mountains National Parks. CBK has added canvases for the Houston Astros World Series win — two ornaments and a brick cover. Tango & Chocolate has a bunch of adorable new dog designs, many saying “born to stand out.” Coco Frank has two new travel rounds, for Paris and Charleston. The Collection has added two new colors and one pattern to its popular bow series.
Danji has added lots of new travel candy canes. A charming new round has the three flowers of Britain’s countries: a rose for England, a thistle for Scotland, and a daffodil for Wales. There are new squares for truck drivers, handymen, and pickleball players. Fairy Tales is the theme of a charming new set. It has a castle and a treasure chest along with figures of a knight, a prince & princess, and a dragon. There are new Christmas cookies and several new drinks canvases. Finally, Danji has a new series of six pretty witches.
Elizabeth Crane Schwartz has several new geometrics, but my favorite is the ebook reader cover with brightly colored circles and a space for an initial. Evergreen Needlepoint has added navy blue and cognac to the colors for its can cozies. Jeni Sandberg is a new designer who creates stunning purse and other canvases in a variety of shapes. Her geometric patterns make the designs easy to stitch, and the results are stunning.
There are some great new books on the way. The fourth volume of Mary Legallet’s Whimsical Stitches, emphasizing small stitches, will be out in June. The second volume of stitches from the Stitch Squad is due out soon. Inspired by Threads, a third edition of Threads, A Needle Necessity will be out early in April.
