Like my mother, my grandmother, and my daughters, I have a charm bracelet. I love it because it is a living memory of a life. It’s the same reason my Christmas tree is eclectic — it has ornaments that reflect our lives. And I often commemorate important events in needlepoint.
Many of those events have canvases you can buy, but many do not. Sue Dulle faced this when she decided to make First Communion Crosses for her grandkids. She designed her own and has now made three, similar but each a little different. She wrote a wonderful blog post about the process recently.
I think you’ll see how easy it can be to design your own.
