If you feel frustrated about how much stitching you are getting done, one way to cure this is to have a car project. These small, low-priority uncomplicated projects are something to do when you have only snippets of time.
Because they are low-priority, you don’t stress over not doing much. Because they are small, they can easily fit in your purse, tote, or car. Because they are uncomplicated you won’t have to worry about counting.
You stitch and eventually you finish the project.
When Can You Stitch
Waiting — you name it and you might probably be waiting for it. From the drawbridge going down to waiting to pick up your kids, life is waiting. Why not needlepoint?
When riding in the car – small projects are easier on the driver and you’ll finish fast
What Do You Need
Your project needs to be mounted on stretcher bars and in a small project bag to keep it clean. Make sure the bag has all the threads you need, scissors, an ort container, and some extra needles.
This isn’t the place for threads you need to ply or divide. Pre-cut threads are better than wound threads. Don’t pick projects that need embellishments or anything fussy. These things are best done at home.
I’m about 3/4 through my current car project and I have the next one already lined up.
