Her family has donated 80 pieces of Erica Wilson’s lovely needlework to Winterthur in Wilmington, DE. Their blog has a lovely, extensively illustrated article about her.
I’m so excited to see in it some of my favorite pieces of hers, the Beatrix Potter illustrations.

Phillipa Turnbull says
Such a treat to see Erica’s work revered in this way. I met her at my very first trade show in 1993, and she went out of her way to encourage and endorse my work with historic British crewel work. She was my inspiration as a child, and my role model as a professional needleworker. We should all remember her and encourage new stitchers to enjoy our passion.
