I have been a busy little beaver lately and I want to share some of it with you.
Having actually gotten my ornaments done early this year, I sent them to Maryse’s (etsy id: maryse) to have them all finished. They came back this week. Because you saw them all in progress, I thought I’d show you the finished ones.
There is the Raymond Crawford bell:
and the Rogue Mountain Dew can:
And last month’s scrap bag piece:
We have the Kelly Clark mitten:
And the Designing Women cross:
I also finished the second lab canvas for this year’s Beginning Needlepoint Forum, this wonderful poppy from Needledeeva. If you missed this year’s Forum and want to participate in next year’s, I’ll be opening it for registration in January. It’s one of three painted canvases covered in the labs for the Forum.
But I am also very excited about two pieces I’m starting. I saw an adorable SF Giants piece on Pinterest that was a custom design from Kathy Schenkel. My husband and eldest daughter are serious students of baseball but their team is the Oakland Athletics. Kathy agreed to do a version of the design for the A’s. I just love them and started it last night. I hope I’ll have them both done by Sunday.
Here’s the Giants one that the started my quest:
Then I decided that this Stitch round from Mindy is a perfect scrap bag project. I have three black threads that are very near the ends of packages so I’m using them for the words. I’m still deciding about how to do the background.
When finished it’s going into a Lee needlework tools case I bought at the same time.
Unlike my usual scattershot approach, this month I am getting things done!

Would you/could you share your ‘resource’ for finishing? I just completed a finishing of an ornament. It was hard, time consuming and I’m none too fond of my results. I’d rather stitch than finish. Thanks in advance for your information.

These were finished by Maryse Wray. You can find her finishing services on Easy with the seller ID of marcuse.
Keep stitching,

Janet….this is wonderful of your to recommend Maryse but I have had no luck finding her on etsy even tho I tried quite a few different way to search. Any ideas? I hope she won’t be over-whelmed with all of your loyal followers asking her for finishing services:-)
