The folks over at KC Needlepoint in Kansas City have done all lovers of thread a great service. On their blog, they have published a lengthy post about picking threads. It has plenty of advice for anyone exploring different threads, but there is so much more for every stitcher to love in the post.
The article is divided by fiber type with a large picture of several of those threads at the head. Inside each section, you’ll find a description of these threads in general. The genius of this article is what follows. For each of the sections, you’ll find a table. it lists each thread the amount you use, the type of canvas you use that on, and tips on using it. The tips are great, full of useful bits of information.
