It’s happened to me, and it’s probably happened to you; you’re happily stitching along, and you find yourself with a traveling thread problem. You can’t go from one part of the motif to another without having the thread show.
This is most apparent on open canvas, but the problem can show up wherever a darker thread passes behind a lighter one.
It’s a real pain.
In her recent blog post, Joni Stevenson asks “Why?” I confess that up until now, I either fudged partway through the motifs and changed the direction of my stitches giving me poor tension or just figured it couldn’t be helped.
Now, after reading Joni’s great advice, I find myself asking “Why?” I”m not going to make this mistake again.
