I know many people who are Turbo Stitchers, and, often, I am one myself. You might be one as well.
You know the type, they race through a project, stitch like crazy, and have lovely things appear like magic.
But I’m not always a Turbo Stitcher. Sometimes I’m a slow stitcher. Slow Stitching, like Slow Food invites contemplation. It becomes not only a stress-reliever, but a way to meditate and think about things.
I’ve often found that some of my best ideas come during these slow stitching times.
You might want to spend some time thinking about slow and why it should be a part of your stitching life. As part of that, read this excellent essay on slow craft from the Design-Decoration-Craft blog.
