Updated May 11, 2022. It occurs to me that there is great older content on other sites online that’s well worth checking out. In May & June, I’ll be highlighting that content by updating and republishing it on Wednesdays (& sometimes Saturdays).
Rittenhouse Needlepoint, a great shop in Philadephia, put up a post about this often neglected stitch.
In my stitching, I tend to use this stitch in its more diminutive form and then pretty much only for borders.
But I am intrigued by the idea of the larger version of the stitch and its ropey effect. I think it could be really cool stitched over an area of T Stitch so it wouldn’t look so unfinished.
I’m going to have to try that.
