Danae Designs has lots of baby booties in many different designs. Most of the designs come in both pink and blue color schemes. The company also makes Christmas ornaments in a diamond shape. These canvases have generous borders so that they can be folded for self-finishing. Doolittle Stitchery has new travel rounds, including Pasadena (the Rose Bowl), Saratoga (horse racing), and Turkey (the Hagia Sophia).
CH Designs from Danji has new profession squares and candy canes. New to the candy canes are six Southwestern designs with cacti, coyotes, pueblos, and more. Another series of three features adorable mice. This designer also has several new wedding rounds. In Danji’s line of licensed work of Frank Lloyd Wright is a new stained glass window based, I think, on the Cooney Playhouse windows.
Also from Danji are new minis from Hummingbird House. Many designs easily will fit into a 2” round or square frames. There are ones for Halloween and Christmas as well as designs for seasons and four cupcakes. I have some of these I’m starting this week, so look for a review in November sometime. Hummingbird House also has a simple bunny shape, almost like a more detailed Peep that comes if different colors with an embellishment to hold. Accompanying these are patterned bunny backs with fluffy tail embellishments.
New from Devon Nicholson is yoga figures, showing several common poses. Each is available in different colors. Her Hep Cats canvases now have three in the series. From Ewe & Eye are several house and barn canvases in a more realistic style. In the Little House line, adapted from the cross stitch charts, there is a new State Fair as well as a new Bookshelf canvas. Griffin Designs has a series of potted palms with pretty blue-and-white borders. There is also a funny Thanksgiving turkey canvas and a new folk-art style floral brick cover.
Funda Scully has too many new hinged boxes that I will only point out a few. There is a lovely heart-shaped box for wedding rings in white with gold. My favorite has a bouquet of sunflowers on top and a field of sunflowers for the box; it’s so cheerful and sunny. Also new is a series of 22 small, 2” round designs that could be delightful ornaments for an Advent calendar. J Malahy has introduced its popular sock monkey canvas in a larger size on 14 mesh. Several other new dressed sock monkeys, both boys and girls, including Peter Pan and Wendy.
New from Sandra Gilmore is a Halloween round with a vintage black cat in a bow tie. Another round from Sandra I love is Bubbles. It has a champagne glass with bright bubbles around it on a navy background. It’s so fun! Sandra also has sweet new designs for Easter. Janice Gaynor has two delightful squares with gnomes on them. She also has six gnome ornament rounds. Janice has lots more lovely ornaments, including Christmas words, animal silhouettes in white on red, and snowflake ornaments in white on gold.
From Duo Designs comes Long-necked friends. The bright fantasy animals include a dragon, an ostrich, a giraffe, and a flamingo. Each is brightly painted. They also have mobiles made from small needlepoint canvases and using cut embroidery hoops to hang. It’s very clever! You can pick the canvases to give your project different themes including bugs or farm animals. They also have travel ornaments and coasters for Italy as well as twisted diamond or squares in several different paired colors.
Kangaroo Paw has a new Halloween angel in a patterned panel skirt. There are also state outlines with red, white, and blue stripes. These say “vote.” Another series of states has the American flag. For the collegiate crowd there is house dived states with the school colors in halves or stripes. They have just started this series, so expect to see more soon. Coming out soon are sorority polka dots in rounds and sleep masks. There are also some of these for non-sorority folks as ell with different sayings.
