Do you go to a regular stitch-in? Does your shop host specific times for folks to come in and stitch? Maybe you Stitch in Public and would like others to join you.
I’m starting a new feature so you can find places to stitch and people to stitch with you wherever you might be. It will be a stand-alone site, linked from here and Needlepoint News, so that you’ll only get these listings, making it easy to search.
Here’s a sample listing.
Event: Wine Country ANG Stitch-in and Pot luck
Type: stitch-in
Day: Fourth Saturday in January
Time: 10-2
Location: Napa Senior Center
City & State: Napa, CA
Cost: None
The area will have a tab above the masthead on this blog next week. Being over at Needlepoint News, you’ll be able to search for listings by state, day of week, shop/national organization, type of event, and city (if it’s a large one).
And you only have to send me an email (use the address in the box below) to get listed. As you can see, this does not need to be a shop listing, or a weekly or monthly event, any regular get together of stitchers can be included.

There isn’t a form to fill out because I’d like you to tell me about the event. From this I’ll construct the listing.
You can use this to:
- find local groups of stitchers
- see shops where you can get help from others in a casual format
- find special stitching events
- join groups of stitchers as you travel
- find shops
I’m excited about this new feature, let me know if there is more you’d like to see or if I can answer any questions.

She designs, teaches and writes, getting raves from her fans for her innovative techniques, extensive knowledge and generous teaching style. Would love this, I work full-time and can’t make my guild meetings. A place to stitch would get me more motivated and allow me to focus on stitching again.
