Canvases, Kits, & Charts
Mill Hill has two wonderful lines in their perforated paper kits. Calavera is a series of six sugar skulls, each adorned with beads and embellished with a charm. Little Monsters has three cute ugly monsters in the series.
Jean Smith has five lovely new bouquets in her popular 14″ square size. Alexa has a lovely new Toy Store stocking with either a boy looking at a window full of boy toys or a girl looking at girl toys. Labors of Love will be introducing full-length designs of Uncle Sam and Betsy Ross later this month.
Threedles has a lovely new ornament called Elegance Cubed. The stitched design folds into a cube, so you can finish it yourself. RIOLIS is a European company. One of the delightful projects they make is plant sticks, using acrylic yarn and plastic canvas. Several designs are available.
Kreinik has added several flag designs to their Stitch – A-Pen series.
Kristine Kingston has a new series of nautically-themed ornaments in celadon, black, and white.
Threads, Accessories, & More
Have you been mourning the loss of platinum needles? John James makes them in size 24. Yarn Tree is packaging them in tubes of two. If you love the buttons from Just Another Button Company, keep your eyes open for Hillcreek Designs. This is JABC’s new division.
Zweigart has a new color in their vintage color of canvas. It has white swirled on grey canvas. I’m waiting to get mine (it’s on backorder) to test out. Lee has a lovely new small (9.5 x 6.5) silk bag in three colors that fits their popular 3″ round canvases.
Weeks Dye Works has four new colors in overdyed threads: Driftwood, Blackboard, Pepperoncini, and Sandcastle. &More’s second new thread is Tweady Lamb. It has cream and a color twisted together. This fine wool can be used as either single or multiple strands on Congress Cloth. It comes in 28 colors. Heather Thread is the third new thread from &More It is an all-wool thread, blended together to make 12 wonderful, mostly dark colors.
Michele Ink makes lovely needle minders from reclaimed silver. Her newest minders and scissors fobs feature flowers and fairies.
