Mrs. Blandings writes a blog about her life and about home decor. It’s one of my favorites. (Not the least of which is because the name is taken from one of my favorite movies, Mr Blandings Builds his Dream House. If you haven’t seen it, watch it this weekend, you won’t regret it.)
In a very personal post she gives us a wonderful portrait of her life as a needlepointer.
The occasion for this reflection is that she is launching her own line of needleopoint canvases. The picture at the top of this post is the first design. At the end of the post she says:
The line of needlepoint will be called Mrs. Blandings as well. I have eight designs with which I am satisfied and two that I’m still tweaking. I’ll have at least two more to complete and all of them will be ready to go to market in January. They will be available to retailers and for purchase here once I launch.
