Remember the Amish Quilt Pillow. I started it probably a decade or more ago. It’s a Susan Roberts quilt canvas. I did not like the colors, so I changed them to an Amish palette and used scraps.
For the background, I bought a knitting yarn similar to pearl cotton. I got almost finished with the center and more than a quarter of the way through the border when I stopped. I don’t remember why.
Over the summer when I rearranged my office, my DH and I went through the large projects and rolled them up. He must have done this one because he rolled up the background thread with it. I thought I didn’t have it. I found it with the thread in that bin a couple of days ago when I was looking for something else.
It’s silly that I am so far along but didn’t finish, so I am back to work on this as a Sunday project. The time sitting has not been entirely kind as some beasties got to three of the colored diamonds and ate a few stitches. I’ll use scrap threads to fill in.
I’ll also work on it when we are watching foreign films. It may take awhile, but I’ll get there.
