I bought this canvas by Beth Hunt recently on Needlepoint Destashing. I got it because I thought the clean design would make it perfect for doing some embellishment. I always need practice in embellishment.
The tulips are going to be stitched using silk ribbon. I saw a way to make tulips with ribbons recently and I want to try it.
I’m also going to stitch the stems in silk ribbon and add some leaves. The grass I’m going to stitch in the same multi-thread technique I used on this Wooly Dreams matryoshka, below. I haven’t used it in a while, so I need to brush up.

The round flowers will be beads. Several years ago I bought a bunch of these plastic flower beads. They have flat backs and I used them on this cupcake, below.

The letters will be stitched with metallic and the background will be left unstitched. It should make for a fun project.
