I had network problems over the weekend, which have put me behind all week, so I’m only getting caught up now.
Barbara has posted two more stitches for Stitch your Stress Away. They are:
Framed Mosaic, which is a delightful small stitch.
Diagonal Stripe, an uncommon stitch which deserves to be better known. It’s in The Needlepoint Book. When done it looks as if a long stitch floats over a field of Tent Stitch. Barbara has done it in two colors, which is great for showing the structure of the stitch. I often do it in one color, or in two shades of the same color. In a single color it looks a bit more interesting than Basketweave but also fits into small spaces. In two shades of the same color, use the darker color for the Tent Stitches and the longer stitches will float beautifully.
Jacquard Stitch is wonderful variation of Byzantine Stitch. In fact, you’ll see a variation of it in one of this month’s Twinchies.
