I’m still getting back into the swing of things. My daughter and I finished reorganizing all my piles of stitching and now my project bin is completely full. I packaged three projects, two for the clubs and one for an upcoming class, and finished one of these yesterday.
But my husband decided he wanted to watch Maigret one night this week. With subtitled movies I can’t do anything tougher than Tent Stitch. I decided to go back to work on this Ehrman design, Naxos Cat. I bought it because it looks like my much-loved cat Wakko. I started work on the cat and then decided to do the background first.
So I’m stitching background. I hope to get the darker orange done tonight. Then I have to find the burgundy to start on that.
It goes slowly because I’m stitching in hand and I’m not used to that.

Very nice work
Hi Janet. This looks like a fairly large piece; why are you stitching in hand instead of on a frame? Best,
Robin
I’m stitching it in hand because I started it ages ago when I still sometimes stitched in hand. Your tension is different between hand and frame, so you should complete projects the way you started them. That’s why I’m doing it this way.
Keep stitching,
Janet
