The original Anne Orr charts were included in a design called “School Days.” These charming girls made me think of “Three Little Maids from school are we, hence the name.
The first chart, seen above (click for full-size chart) has a girl in an early 19th Century dress. It’s in the style of Kate Greenaway or Jane Austen.

The final chart, above (click for full-size chart) is ascholar. She’s carrying her schoolbooks.
I love the oild-fashioned look of the silhouettes. Traditionallly they would be stitched in black on white, but these were originally filet crochet charts, so they could also be white or cream on a color.
