How do you transfer line drawings to needlepoint canvas?
Many books recommend that you tape the drawing to a window and then put your canvas over it. Tape it down and trace. The light coming through the window makes the drawing easier to see.
I don’t do that because I’ve always found it hard to trace vertically.
The bad method is to plunk down the drawing on a table, put the canvas on top and trace.
I must admit this is what I do.
Thanks to Mary Corbet’s wonderful review and tutorial about her lightbox, I’m putting one of my wish list.
How can you pass up something that will make your life easier and your stitching better?

I got a little light box out of Argos that is ok for small transfers – up to A4. However I have an IKEA Lack table that I am seriously thinking of hacking into a larger light table, I’ve saved the hack just need to do something about it.
