Lycette has added canvases by a new designer, Grace Carter. She has two great backgammon boards, one with gnomes and the other with wine bottles. Lynette also has lovely canvases by Lady Derby. My favorites are the eyeglass cases which have lovely marbleized designs on one side and marbleized letters on the other. I don’t know if these are exclusive to Lycette, but they are something special. Lady Derby also has vintage lattice canvases available in different sizes and colors.
Sew Much Fun! has a delightful 3-D whale added to their the lovely collection of animals. The company also has bride and groom shelf-sitting teddy bears, new insets for Planet Earth boxes, as well as new inserts for the popular acrylic needlepoint clutches. Morgan Julia has three new bar carts and a new gingerbread men cookie canvas. She also has two new canvases the showcase icons of skiing or lake vacations. The Collection has new Christmas signs from Starke Art.
Anne Fisher has great new stuff. There are frames, inserts, and glasses cases inspired by French prints in the Medallion Collection. She also has two new backgammon boards. One is a collaboration with Two Sisters that has shifts in three colors in the background. The other celebrates trout fishing with leaping fish and fishing poles. Kate Dickerson has made her Louis Vuitton luggage tag in a new color — blue and white. She also has a new artist Gabby Malpas who has elaborate animal designs with an Asian flair.
Pajamas & Chocolate has a great new bolster canvas of nine African women with baskets on their heads. The colorful baskets match the dresses. It’s great for stash-busting. New from Evergreen along with the slim can cozy are game day and tailgate canvases. I saw six in all with cheeky sayings such as “hold my beer” and “drink like a girl.” Moore Stitching has the most adorable line of canvases — Elizabeth’s closet. They depict the late Queen in different outfits. Most of them are “walkabout” ensembles with hat and matching coat, purse firmly in hand. Another is in formal wear in a white gown, a light blue sash, and a crown.
I am just crazy for Eye Candy’s New Mexican nativity. It has ten figures all in a lovely folk art style that will be enhanced by stitches. A new color scheme is available in the Merry & Bright series. It combines a modern take on the traditional scheme with white, lime, and red while adding a punch with black. There are 6 harlequin-inspired designs in this series. She also has four new pumpkin rounds and has added more merry words in the Christmas color scheme.
Mimi in Stitches has some new sayings, including a fun one about my train of thought leaving the station (I can relate to that!). She also has several new clutches including two that combine Gucci stripes with a butterfly or lots of flowers. Alt Stitchery has lovely argyle bauble ornaments in three colors as well as lovely new snowflakes. Cabell has a new set of four Halloween silhouettes available as a square or lined up as a bolster.
PLD has introduced thee new artists, Cathy B, Melanie Mikecz, and Steve Haskamp. Their designs include geometrics, realistic animals, and mid-century modern designs. My favorite is Whales by Melanie Mikecz that has three orcas passing in front of a neat iceberg. New artist Cathy B has a spread sunshine canvas with a smiling sun, and flowers with the saying on a ribbon. I love all the dachshund rounds that celebrate different seasons and holidays. Also new from PLD are seasonal realistic window boxes, insets tied with ribbons, new eggs, and three ornaments for pets.
I’m floored by all the new colors that Rainbow Gallery has added to Silk Lame Plus, the ribbon size of Silk Lame. With nearly 30 new colors, there are now 65 colors available in this thread. Painter’s Threads has a new thread, Braided Rayon. It is similar to the company’s Shimmer ribbon without the metallic. Treenway Silks has added there new limited edition colors to the line of 65 Roses colors in their silk ribbons. They are inspired by actual roses and are shoes of apricot. Because they are limited editions they may sell out quickly. Planet Earth is adding bright new colors to Essentials.
